Main goals

Analyze and establish a diagnosis of identified value chains in the different areas of intervention of the PAIOSA (Institutional and operational support program to the agricultural sector).

Specific objectives

  • Define circuits and product flows within the previously identified value chains in the areas of intervention of the PAIOSA (cross flow).
  • Analyze the marketing, processing and markets products within the identified value chains (vertical line).
  • Define and characterize the different stakeholders (direct or economic operators, supporters of chain, institutions and temporary actors) of the identified value chains.
  • Perform a financial analysis of the identified value chains (wealth creation within the value chain, costs and added value at different stages of the value chain, distribution of income between the different actors of the value chain).
  • Identify the weak link to strengthen in each value chain.

Results

R1. Circuits and product flow (physical flow) are defined for each of the 9 identified value chains in the three areas of intervention of the PAIOSA
R2. The various stakeholders in the value chain, their interaction within the value chain (communication/information flow) and the trading rules (regulation, contracts, relationships of power ...) are characterized for each of the 9 identified value chains
R3. Wealth creation within the value chain is analyzed for each of the 9 identified value chains (distribution of income between the different actors, added value and costs at every stage of the value chain ...)
R4. The weak link to strengthen for each value chain is identified

Activities
