Nitidæ at the 25th World Congress of IUFRO on forest regeneration after slash and burn

3000 participants are expected at the event, which will discuss various aspects related to forest research

From September 29 to October 5, 2019, the 25th World Congress of IUFRO (International Union of Forest Research Organizations) will be held in Curitiba, Brazil (http://iufro2019.com).

During the plenary sessions and technical sessions, scientists, researchers, teachers, students, and professionals in the forest sector will participate in discussions on issues related to the event’s five main themes : Forests for people, Forests and climate change, Forests and forest products, Biodiversity, ecosystem services and biological invasions, Forests, soil and water interactions.

Nitidæ, represented by Frédérique Montfort (PhD student), will present a study on the dynamics of Miombo woodland regeneration after slash-and-burn in Mozambique and a poster on the movement and selection of habitats by elephants in and around the Gilé National Reserve.
