Study the feasibility of establishing a geographical indication for the Binh Phuoc cashew nut in Vietnam

Specific objectives

  • Assess available knowledge on quality, reputation and characteristics and assess the extent to which these elements are associated with geographical origin (Binh Phuoc)
  • Develop an expert opinion on the feasibility of the Geographical Indication tool and present the conclusions to the producers' association and local authorities
  • Propose recommendations for follow-up to deepen the labeling process
