Activities

RONGEAD has been involved as an expert consultant on international trade in the training of farmers managers (with the coordination of 2 international consultants and 6 national consultants).

A1. Training in agricultural policies:

  • Training of 5 FONGS executives and 15 CNCR managers through 4 one-week seminars (Seminar 1: Agricultural Policy in its National and International Economic Context, Seminar 2: Issues and Strategic Instruments for an Agricultural Policy) seminar 3: sector and logistics, seminar 4: planning, regionalization, rural organization and evaluation).
  • Preparation of 4 French language teaching manuals to enable FONGS to begin in its training function: Markets - Exchanges - Relationships - Rebuild the Republic of Sénayé
  • Sensitization of producers: documents in local languages and regional seminars, supported by FONGS.

A2. Training in strategies and program formulation for the development of smallholder agriculture:

  • Training of 80 PO leaders and NGO leaders on the sustainable development of peasant agriculture.
  • Training of 6 technical managers and 60 farmer animators from different regions of the country.
  • Production and dissemination of communication tools on the technical themes selected as priorities.

A3. Analysis of the impact of the Uruguay Round on small-scale agriculture:

  • Realization of a research and reflection.
  • National seminar for the return of the study.
  • Preparation of the final report.
  • Participation in the preparation of training materials.
