TRACASHEW - Traceability in the African cashew value chains
Main goals
Contribute to collective learning within the cashew sector on the topic of traceability and to help identify the actions to be taken by the various stakeholders in the value chain, as well as within the framework of the MOVE-ComCashew project
Specific objectives
SO1. To provide an overview of existing traceability systems in the cashew nut sector
SO2. Identify, describe and compare the traceability technologies and service providers used in the sector
SO3. Draw lessons from experience and make recommendations for the implementation of a reliable traceability system within the cashew nut supply chain

Charles Angebault
Joining Nitidæ in 2024, he combines extensive experience in the coffee and cocoa sector with in-depth expertise in designing traceability and impact measurement systems. Charles worked for a coffee trading company in East Africa, where he was responsible for upgrading sourcing and certified, sustainable value chains. As the founder of a technology company dedicated to agricultural traceability, he developed digital tools for monitoring producers and product flows. At Nitidæ, he leads the analysis and deployment of open source solutions for traceability and compliance with European regulations on imported deforestation. He also brings his expertise on agricultural value chains, particularly coffee.

Odilon Chambers
As a geographer, specializing in rural development, he has been based in West Africa since 2016. First stationed in Mali on behalf of Luxembourg cooperation, he then joined the team in 2021. Hands-on man, he coordinates agricultural activities in the north of Côte d'Ivoire around cashew-food production systems, forest resources (shea), product labeling as well as environmental conservation around the Comoé National Park. It is also involved in specific studies on value-chain, traceability and marketing
