Inception workshop of the LUCCIA project - Land Use planning and Climate Change Impact Assessment in Mozambique

Workshop in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Sustainable Development Fund (FNDS) and the Ambassador of France to Mozambique

On April 19, 2022 took place in Maputo, Mozambique, the launch workshop of the project entitled LUCCIA - Evaluation of the Impact of Spatial Planning and Climate Change - in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Fund for Sustainable Development (FNDS) and the French Ambassador to Mozambique.

The LUCCIA project is funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and implemented by the Monitoring, Reporting and Verification Unit of the FNDS in partnership with the NGO Nitidæ and the Center for International Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD).

The LUCCIA project aims to develop a spatial modeling tool to support the Mozambican Government in decision-making concerning the planning and implementation of land use policies and the evaluation of adaptation and mitigation measures to the climate change and extreme events.
