TERRI4SOL project in Côte d’Ivoire has come to an end!

Closing event in Abidjan bringing together the various partners, featuring presentations of the main findings

On 25 March 2026, the closing seminar of the TERRI4SOL project was held in Abidjan.

After around four years of activity, the project has brought together numerous institutional and scientific stakeholders, as well as producers, to gain a better understanding of the dynamics of organic carbon in post-forest landscapes.

Participants at the closing seminar during the round-table discussions

The main findings from the three components of this project were presented, notably the support scheme for producers in the Mé region for cocoa and cassava cultivation, set up by Nitidæ.

Experts were then gathered for round-table discussions on two themes:

  1. restoration strategies in Côte d’Ivoire, and
  2. land-use change and its impact on soil carbon, during which we also gave a presentation to share our experiences and findings.

Although the project is coming to an end, its results provide a solid foundation for future actions and for developing sustainable solutions for soil fertility!
