Main goals

The Waka group - a sesame exporter - has requested support to farmers' sesame organizations to ensure that the supply is sufficient and growing, of good quality and that the bargaining capacity is optimized. That's why technical assistance is requested from Nitidæ by Waka, with the support of FEFISOL, a SIDI program, to strengthen the capacities of producers

Specific objectives

  • Strengthen the skills of sesame producers in controlling the technical production route to increase yields
  • Strengthen the skills of producers in controlling the quality of sesame
  • Strengthen the capacity of producers on access to information and control over the operation of the sesame market to improve business links in the WA group
  • Strengthen the capacity of the group's processing units to keep their accounting

Training on crop management and post-harvest sesame whose application will improve the quality of stocks from the producer
A4. Strengthening the commercial capacities of actors
Training on commercial negotiation techniques and contractualization, on the understanding of the sesame market and the dissemination of value-added information on the sesame market ... in order to improve the relations between the different parts of the group by good understanding of price developments during the marketing campaign by stakeholders
A5. Participatory evaluation of TA with producers and Waka group leader
