Main goals

Contribute to the development of the organic PGS (Participatory Guarantee System) certified gumbo sector - according to the method recommended by IFOAM - in Burkina Faso with support to market gardeners and potential future suppliers, from the production to the delivery of dry gumbo samples to SILAB - a company that manufactures and sells active products to famous figures in the cosmetic industry

  • Boosting organic PGS certified gumbo production in Burkina Faso
  • Increasing the added-value of the sector by promoting the transformation of gumbo, in this case with a drying process
  • Improving the quality of life of PGS certified gumbo producers by helping them to access international markets

R1. Identify local varieties of gumbo and producers organisations with SPG certification for the production of samplings
