Main goals

The project aims to ensure sustainable development in two globally important forests (Dja Wildlife Reserve and Lobéké National Park) in the South and South-East of Cameroon by guaranteeing inclusive growth and responsible use of natural resources.

Nitidæ works more specifically, as a partner, on component 3

Specific objectives

SO1. Strengthen the inclusive conservation of landscape biodiversity by territorial representatives
SO2. Increase the livelihoods and resilience of local communities through green economy sectors
SO3. Improve the governance of territories and natural resources by decentralized stakeholders

Carbon & Biodiversity Task Officer / Forest & REDD+ / Cameroon

Jovis Arnold Nguefack

He holds a Master’s degree in Geography, Spatial Planning and the Environment from the University of Dschang (Cameroon) and has supplemented his education with a professional certification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing applied to forest resource management, obtained from EUREKAGEO. He has also enhanced his skills through academic experiences in Romania and France, particularly regarding the application of GIS to the sustainable management of biodiversity. He has recently taken up the post of Carbon & Biodiversity Task Officer at Nitidæ in Cameroon, and is contributing his expertise in the field of geomatics applied to environmental management as part of the Natura Sud-Est project.

Henri Fouda

As an agro-pastoral adviser with a diploma from the Ebolowa Regional College of Agriculture (DTS & BTS), he has been involved since 2017 in a number of communal and land use planning assignments, such as writing up Communal Development Plans or supporting village development committees and neighbourhood committees in implementing their Local Development Plans (LDPs). He has subsequently worked on permaculture and organic farming projects, and more recently on sustainable cocoa certification and compliance with RDUE requirements. He joined the Nitidæ team in Cameroon in 2025 as Communal Technical Assistant in the Natura Sud-Est programme, where he brings his expertise in terms of communal planning and capacity-building for communes on territorial governance.

Thierry Boucheng

Holder of professional master's degree in Cartography, GIS and Remote Sensing as well as a bachelor's degree on Environment and Landscape from Dschang University, he is well-versed in using cartography, GIS, remote sensing, and tools for communal diagiosis and planning; especially within local development projects. He has also been using a lot drones for photogrammetry and LiDAR acquisitions. In 2025, he has joined Nitidæ's team in Cameroon on the Natura Sud-est project

Germaine Ngokofah

Graduated of the Faculty of Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences (FASA) in Dschang, where she studied forestry engineering, she has expertise in ornithology, ethno-ornithology and natural resource management. She joined the Nitidæ team in Cameroon in 2025 to contribute her experience as a Communal Technical Assistant within the Natura Sud-Est project.

Sandrine Ntsama

With a bachelor's degree in Sociology, specialising in Population and Development, from the University of Yaoundé and a Professional Qualification Diploma (DQP) in Office Administration, she has been involved since 2018 in the development of several territorial planning documents (PCD, PLADDT), with a good command of community planning diagnostic tools and field activity monitoring. She also has knowledge of data collection tools such as ODK, which she has used in socio-economic and bio-behavioural surveys (IBBS project led by Caire Cameroon). She joined the Nitidæ team in Cameroon in March 2025 as a Communal Technical Assistant on component 3 of the Natura Sud-Est project, where she provides support for territorial planning.

Frédérique Montfort

Doctor of AgroParisTech in environmental sciences, she brings her expertise on the biodiversity component and on the degradation and restoration of forest landscapes. She joined N’Lab de Nitidæ in 2017 to carry out her thesis with the association, UR Forêts & Sociétés and UMR Tétis on the degradation and restoration of Miombo forest landscapes in Mozambique. She is currently conducting studies and technical support (capacity building, technology transfer) on various projects of the association

Beatriz Bellón

With a doctorate in geomatics (AgroParisTech/CIRAD), she brings her expertise in remote sensing and modeling to various R&D projects of the association, and in particular on the biodiversity and degradation and restoration components of forest landscapes. At the same time, she carries out studies and technical support (capacity building, technology transfer) within the association. She joined the N’Lab in Nitidæ in 2024 after completing a thesis on the mapping of agricultural systems, and five years of postdoctoral research on the links between landscape changes and biodiversity in different tropical countries. Her research work has resulted in operational mapping and modeling tools and numerous scientific publications of international rank.
