Main goals

As part of an investment project by AATIF, in collaboration with IFC, in the first onion dehydration plant in Sub-Saharan Africa, a project led by the company SAF Ingrédients, AATIF has ordered a study via its technical assistance facility to strengthen the capacities of the newly created SAF-Ingrédients supply team

Specific objectives

Although the onion is a flagship of the Senegalese agricultural sectors, the quality and supply schedule requirements of such a factory require rigorous support for producers. Indeed, the specific need for a certain variety or a certain size means an adaptation of the agricultural practices of the producers, which moreover meets the requirements of environmental sustainability, and therefore a risk taking which must be accompanied
