Main goals

As part of the Lindt Climate Commitment, the company has assessed its carbon footprint and wants to commit to reducing it; and agroforestry has been identified as a major lever of this strategy. It is therefore a question of designing an agroforestry pilot project which will be evaluated according to the Golden Standard Scope 3, by studying (i) the efforts already undertaken to promote the agroforestry transition of suppliers, (ii) the carbon sequestration of plots of cocoa agroforestry practices and (iii) recommendations for a program establishing favorable conditions for farmers to adopt agroforestry practices

Specific objectives

SO1. Get an overview of the project structure, stakeholders, their roles and responsibilities
SO2. Develop a system to encourage farmers to agroforestry including the implementation of Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES)
SO3. Propose a monitoring and reporting plan
SO4. Identify an agroforestry exploitation model
SO5. Establish a carbon monitoring model and analyze it
SO6. Define a project schedule and budget
